A China-European train celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative departed from Yiwu West Railway Station in Yiwu City, Zhejiang Province, on Tuesday.
The train, carrying 110 TEUs of Christmas goods, auto parts, machinery and equipment, will sail to Madrid, Spain. This is the 1,496th train on the YiXinOu route since it started in 2023.
The total number of YiXinEuropean trains has been more than 6,400, ranking the first in the country. In recent years, the goods transported on the liner have also become increasingly diversified, expanding from daily necessities and small commodities made in Yiwu to high-value and high-tech products such as automobiles and accessories, photovoltaic products and mechanical equipment.
From January to October 2023, the import and export value of goods on the YiSinOu route reached 31.59 billion yuan, an increase of 16.4% for nine consecutive years.
